Stoke centre-back Jonathan Woodgate has said that Peter Crouch will "fit right in" at the Britannia Stadium, following his £10m move to the club.
The 31-year-old previously played alongside the England international at Tottenham and believes that his experiences at White Hart Lane and for the national side will enhance the squad.
"Peter's a top player," he told The Sentinel. "You want good players to improve your squad. He can only enhance us.
"You're getting an England international who's played at the top level and in the Champions League. His international goalscoring (42 caps, 22 goals) speaks for itself. And he's played for top teams throughout his career.
"Everybody knows he's top notch in the air, but he's also great on the floor and a good hold-up player. He's a target man with great ability. He'll fit right in here because there is a really good team spirit."
Crouch was left out of England manager Fabio Capello's latest squad, but will look to make an impression with his new team when Stoke welcome former club Liverpool after the international break.
