Connor Wickham has signed to join Sunderland on a four-year deal.
The Black Cats acquire the Under-21s international from Ipswich Town for £8m, although this may rise to £12m over the course of his contract “depending on a number of factors”.
Liverpool had also shown a strong interest in the striker, while Arsenal and Spurs had also been monitoring him.
The 18-year-old scored 9 goals in 40 appearances for Ipswich last season.
