Sunderland striker Danny Graham has revealed that he is excited by manager Paolo Di Canio's new brand of attacking football at the club.
The Italian picked up his first win in charge of the Black Cats on Sunday with a conclusive 3-0 victory at local rivals Newcastle United.
"The new gaffer has given us belief and a licence to attack - he wants us to be solid and always to keep our shape but he really wants us to go forward and that's great for someone like me," Graham told the Sunderland Echo.
"He was a striker himself and scored lots of goals - a lot of good goals at that - so we've got that on our side as forwards."
Sunderland, who are three points above the relegation zone in the Premier League table, continue their battle for survival on Saturday at home to Everton.
