Sheffield Wednesday loanee Connor Wickham has expressed his determination to make the most of his stint with the Championship club.
The England youth international joined Wednesday on a four-week deal last Friday from Sunderland, where his opportunities in the senior side had been limited so far this season.
"I need to play games and after speaking to the manager and with the size of the club, I jumped at the chance to come here," he told the club's official website. "It's always important to have the manager's backing and hopefully I can come here and make an impact.
"As a striker you want to score in every game. I want to come here and show everyone what I'm capable of.
"My confidence is high and hopefully I'll add another dimension to the team."
Wickham made his debut for the Owls during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Derby County.
