Swansea came close to taking an early lead when Wayne Routledge flicked the ball in for Wilfried Bony, but the striker's header was a fraction too high.
The home side continued to apply pressure, with Jonjo Shelvey sending an effort over before a Jonathan de Guzman free kick almost found Ashley Williams at the post, but the captain could not get to the ball.
The visitors came close to breaking the deadlock 20 minutes in with their first chance of the match, as Kieran Richardson picked out Brede Hangeland, but his header went just high.
Fulham continued to get stronger as the half progressed, with Ashkan Dejagah testing Gerhard Tremmel with a header from close range.
Pablo Hernandez hit the bar for Swansea shortly before the half-time whistle, while Bony's header from the rebound was saved, ensuring that the sides headed in level.
