Bafetimbi Gomis has paid tribute to his "quality" Swansea City teammate Andre Ayew following his impressive transition to life in the Premier League.
The duo appear to have struck up an understanding in the Swans' attack, having both found the net in Swansea's first two Premier League games thus far.
Ayew joined City after his Marseille contract expired in June, and Gomis, who joined from Lyon 12 months ago, claims to be unsurprised over the way in which the 25-year-old has taken to English football.
"I know what a good player Ayew is, particularly in front of goal," he told the club's official website.
"He showed what a quality player he was in France and he's showing that quality here in Swansea. It's important for us to have good goal scorers like Andre."
Garry Monk's side, who sit sixth in the table, kicked off their season with a 2-2 draw at champions Chelsea, before beating Newcastle United 2-0 last weekend.
