Francesco Guidolin calls for Swansea City aggression

Swansea City boss Francesco Guidolin calls on his side to impose their own way of playing on opposition teams ahead of his first home game at the helm.

New Swansea City head coach Francesco Guidolin has urged his side to impose their own playing style on opposition teams.

The 60-year-old has made a positive start to life at the club, picking up four points from his first two games in charge to lift the Swans five clear of the relegation zone.

This weekend will see Guidolin take charge of his first home game when he welcomes Crystal Palace to the Liberty Stadium, and he is keen to inject aggression and a killer instinct into his side's play.

"This is a very important moment for us, but we have to think match by match and day by day. My team is a good team when we play and we are passing the ball," he told reporters.

"But sometimes we lose our best quality and I hope to improve this. It's important to be aggressive and have the possibility to play with our style. I am very happy with my team but I ask them to be clinical in the last 30 metres.

"Sometimes we prepare the situation to finish but we need more determination. I speak to my players about this and I have the confidence that the team will take points. Every day when we work it's a better feeling for me."

Swansea conceded a 92nd-minute equaliser last time out as West Bromwich Albion snatched a 1-1 draw from the jaws of defeat.
