Swansea City's Garry Monk has insisted that he is focused on fighting for a first-team place at the Liberty Stadium.
Monk marked his return to action with a late winning goal in Swansea's 3-2 triumph over Crawley Town on Tuesday.
The defender is adamant that rumours of a loan move to Bristol City are purely speculation at this stage.
He said: "I've been injured for the past five weeks but there was speculation before that about a loan to here, there and everywhere.
"I've said all along I don't want to leave. Hopefully I can force my way into the manager's plans in some capacity in the near future. If not, I'll assess it again.
"January is the realistic time to move if I'm not involved at all, but hopefully I will be involved. I'll keep pushing and pushing, but I'm realistic as well. I'm not saying I should be starting Saturday or anything stupid like that."
Michael Laudrup's side play their next competitive fixture in the Premier League against Stoke City on Saturday, September 29.
