Swansea City are believed to have lodged a £4m offer for Norwich City defender Martin Olsson.
The Welsh outfit have money to spend on squad improvements this month after selling Wilfried Bony to Manchester City for £28m.
A left-back is apparently high on Garry Monk's list of priorities, with Tottenham Hotspur's Kyle Naughton having been touted as a target.
The Swans are thought to have been deterred by Naughton's valuation, but may have more luck pursuing Olsson, with the Daily Express claiming that the Canaries are considering accepting their opening bid.
Olsson, 26, has made 59 appearances for Norwich since joining from Blackburn Rovers in 2013 and is reportedly keen on a return to the Premier League after seeing a similar move blocked in the summer.
New Norwich manager Alex Neil has confirmed Swansea's interest in the Swede, which may impact on the future of Neil Taylor, who has been linked with Crystal Palace.
