Head coach Paul Clement: 'Swansea City to strengthen in attack'

Swansea City head coach Paul Clement confirms that the Welsh club are looking to sign attacking players during the January transfer window.

Swansea City head coach Paul Clement has revealed that the club have already identified possible targets for the January transfer window.

The Welsh club currently sit at the bottom of the Premier League table, as well as possessing the worst offensive record with just eight goals being netted in 15 matches.

Swansea's current predicament leaves business being conducted at the start of 2018 as a near certainty, and Clement has admitted that he is keen to strengthen in the final third.

The 45-year-old told reporters: "We have six games to get points on the board. When we've done that, we can look at what we need to do in January. I hope and believe I'll be here to help the club make those decisions.

"The guys from the communications department have compiled a list of players we've been linked with. It's a good list. I'll have to look into some of those players. There's some on that list I've never even heard of.

"The priority is the forward players. Not just goalscorers; players who can create. We haven't been creating much."

A recent report has claimed that the Swans hierarchy are currently willing to allow Clement to remain in charge during the upcoming transfer window.
