Michael Laudrup reportedly falls out with Swansea City chairman over the club's transfer budget.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has reportedly fallen out with chairman Huw Jenkins over the club's transfer budget this summer.

The Swans clinched European football last season after winning the League Cup, which has led to the Danish boss attracting interest from several major European clubs.

Along with a ninth-place finish in the Premier League last term, Laudrup was hoping for heavier spending power during the off-season transfer window.

However, he and Jenkins currently possess a strained relationship and have not spoken for a week, with Laudrup's agent Bayram Tutumlu acting as an intermediary between the two, according to Sky Sports News.

Last year Laudrup spent up to £5m on Pablo Hernandez and Ki Sung-Yueng, but he is apparently annoyed about being denied the chance to spend double that amount on the likes of Iago Aspas, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alvaro Negredo.

Laudrup, who is expected to remain in charge, and Jenkins are expected to hold further talks on the situation.
