Michel Vorm is happy with Michael Laudrup as Swansea City manager

Michel Vorm thinks that Michael Laudrup is the best replacement Swansea City could have brought in for Brendan Rodgers.

Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm has declared that he is happy with Michael Laudrup's appointment as Swansea City manager.

Vorm believes that Swansea are capable of building on last season's impressive 11th place finish in the Premier League with Laudrup at the helm.

The Dutch international told Wales Online: "After Brendan left, I thought 'OK, what's going to happen now?'

"I was obviously disappointed to see Brendan go because he was the manager who brought me here and I had good communication with him from the day I arrived.

"But when the club signed Michael I was very pleased. I don't think there is a better replacement for Brendan than Michael."

The Swans begin their second season in England's top flight against Queens Park Rangers on August 18.
