Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic drops big World Cup hint

Zlatan Ibrahimovic offers his biggest hint yet that he will play for Sweden in this summer's World Cup finals, two years after retiring from international football.

Los Angeles Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has suggested that he will come out of international retirement to play for Sweden in this summer's World Cup finals.

The 36-year-old has not featured for his country since 2016, calling it a day after the Blue-Yellow were eliminated from the European Championship.

Ibrahimovic has previously hinted that he would end his exile if he 'felt well' in the weeks leading up to Russia 2018, though, and the former Manchester United ace now appears to have made his decision.

A post on Ibrahimovic's official Twitter page on Sunday read: "The chance of me playing in the World Cup is skyhoga #FifaWorldCup2018."

Swedish word "skyhoga" translates as "sky high", implying that he fancies his chances of taking part in one last World Cup.

Ibrahimovic played 116 times for Sweden, scoring 62 goals.
