Daniel Sturridge and Scott Sinclair start for Team GB against Uruguay following their goals against UAE, while Ryan Bertrand is also recalled.

Stuart Pearce has recalled Daniel Sturridge to his starting XI for Team GB's Group A showdown with Uruguay this evening.

The Chelsea striker scored coming off the bench against the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, as did Scott Sinclair, who has also been rewarded with a start.

Pearce makes two other changes, with Ryan Bertrand returning in defence in place of James Tomkins, while rested captain Ryan Giggs is replaced by Manchester United teammate Tom Cleverley.

With Giggs absent, Craig Bellamy takes over the captaincy duties.

Liverpool's Luis Suarez captains the South American nation, while apparent Reds target Gaston Ramirez and Edinson Cavani also feature as expected.

Team GB: Butland; Bertrand, Richards, Caulker, Taylor; Allen, Ramsey, Giggs, Cleverley; Bellamy, Sturridge

Uruguay: Campana; Aguirregaray, Rolin, Coates, Albin; Rodriguez, Arevalo, Lodeiro, Ramirez; Cavani, Suarez
