Telford remain winless in Conference after defeat to Aldershot Town

Aldershot Town claim their second win in three Conference games by defeating AFC Telford United 2-0.

First-half goals from Joe Oastler and Brett Williams against AFC Telford United gave Aldershot Town their second win in three games at the start of the Conference season.

Oastler put the Shots ahead inside five minutes with a crisp left-footed strike after a corner hadn't been properly cleared.

It was two midway through the opening 45 when Williams converted from the penalty spot following a foul on Josh Scott by Steve Akrigg.

Aldershot saw out the win fairly comfortably after half time and now sit ninth in the table.

Newly-promoted Telford, meanwhile, have managed just one point from their three games and are 18th.
