Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Lille vs. Lens

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Ligue 1 fixtures, including

Toulouse vs. Brest (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Aiming to keep their faint hopes of Conference League qualification alive, Brest will travel to the South Coast on Sunday afternoon to face Toulouse in Ligue 1.

Les Violets are looking to address their worrying home form as the campaign reaches its business end, whilst Les Pirates are on a mission to record a third straight clean sheet.

We say: Toulouse 1-1 Brest

Sitting next to each other in the Ligue 1 standings, Toulouse and Brest are well-matched heading into this weekend's clash at Stadium de Toulouse.

Without Magri and Aboukhlal, Les Violets could struggle to find the net, but we feel that they should be good enough for a share of the points.

Angers vs. Rennes (Sunday, 4.15pm)

Both looking to ease their growing fears of relegation, Angers and Rennes will clash at Stade Raymond Kopa for a Ligue 1 match on Sunday afternoon.

Le SCO suffered three straight defeats prior to the final international break of the term, whereas Les Rennais are aiming to avoid such a fate with a positive result this weekend.

We say: Angers 1-2 Rennes

Losing each of their last three matches with little fight, Angers are at danger of being dragged into the relegation dogfight before the conclusion of the campaign.

Rennes will be thankful of Abdelli's absence for this clash and should take full advantage, returning to their home base with all three points.

Auxerre vs. Montpellier (Sunday, 4.15pm)

Montpellier HSC travel to Auxerre in Ligue 1 this weekend searching for their first win in over two months.

The visitors have lost six games in a row in the league, and their clash with Saint-Etienne last time out was abandoned due to crowd trouble.

We say: Auxerre 2-0 Montpellier HSC

Montpellier's campaign has had many lows, particularly in their games away from home, so it is difficult to see anything but a home victory in the match.

Auxerre's home form is a major reason why they will almost certainly be playing in Ligue 1 next season, and we fully expect them to grab the three points this weekend.

Le Havre vs. Nantes (Sunday, 4.15pm)

Le Havre play host to Nantes on Sunday looking for the victory that will open up the Ligue 1 relegation battle.

At a time when the home side sit in 16th position in the table, the 13th-placed visitors are just six points further up the standings.

We say: Le Havre 1-1 Nantes

With both teams having gotten some points on the board in recent games, there is increasing belief in both games. However, with that in mind, that could lead to a competitive stalemate that would benefit the visitors far more than the home team.

Lille vs. Lens (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Two teams eyeing up European football next season square off in Ligue 1 this weekend as Lille host Lens in the Derby du Nord on Sunday evening.

The hosts are currently occupying sixth spot in the standings, while the visitors are five points behind them in eighth position.

We say: Lille 1-2 Lens

Derby matches are often tough to predict, and Lens have picked up a couple of good results in recent weeks.

Form can go out the window with local pride at stake, but we think that Lens will win this game and narrow the gap between the two clubs in the standings.
