USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann reveals that he is optimistic Jozy Altidore can return from injury against Belgium.

USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann has revealed that he is optimistic Jozy Altidore can return from injury against Belgium.

The forward has been ruled out since suffering a hamstring problem during his side's 2-1 win against Ghana.

"We are very optimistic. Every day is a big step forward with Jozy," Klinsmann told reporters.

"It's 11 days now and it's looking better every day so we're optimistic to have him being part of the Belgium game."

The USA qualified for the World Cup knockout stages despite a 1-0 defeat against Germany and will meet Belgium in the last 16 of the tournament next Thursday.
