David Albelda will depart Valencia this summer after 15 years at the club.

Experienced midfielder David Albelda has revealed that he will depart Valencia this summer after 15 years at the club.

The 35-year-old, who has made close to 600 appearances for the Spanish club, has been linked with a move to England in recent weeks.

"I would like to thank Valencia for the marvellous years I have had and wish them all the best for the future," Albelda tweeted.

"I also want to thank all supporters who showed me such great support throughout my career. Amunt Valencia!"

The club added in a statement: "After 574 games, 42502 minutes on the pitch and 15 seasons, David Albelda's time at Valencia has come to a close.

"The club legend will not be renewing his deal with the club, leaving behind a glittering career in black and white."

Everton are believed to be interested in his services.
