Osian Roberts: 'Wales have earned respect'

Osian Roberts says that Wales have earned the respect of the footballing world, following their impressive form in Euro 2016 qualifying.

Wales assistant manager Osian Roberts has claimed that other nations "fear" playing against the Dragons due to their recent form.

Chris Coleman's side are on the verge of qualifying for their first major tournament since 1958, and need just one point in their final Euro 2016 qualifiers to be sure of a place in France next summer.

"That's what this group of players have earned now, that respect," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"Teams are not going to be open and going toe-to-toe with us. That's because of the standards we've set and other teams fear us."

Wales are currently ninth in the FIFA World Rankings.
