Chris Coleman: 'Players accept golden generation tag'

Wales boss Chris Coleman reveals that his squad are happy to embrace the tag of being the 'golden generation'.

Wales boss Chris Coleman has expressed his belief that his squad are ready to embrace the tag of the 'golden generation'.

Coleman's side remain unbeaten in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign after their goalless draw with Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday, and the manager thinks that his team are equipped to deal with the expectation of reaching the tournament in two years' time.

"These players have grown up," he told reporters. "They're not scared of it, they've accepted the compliment of being called the 'golden generation'.

"That's a huge compliment, I've told them they've got to earn it and they knew the pressure going into the game.

"There was a big crowd for a reason but they didn't disappoint. If we beat Cyprus I think it will have been a productive camp."

Wales play Cyprus in their next match on Monday.
