Chief executive of the Football Association of Wales Jonathan Ford believes that national team manager Chris Coleman is the right man to turn Wales's fortunes around.

Chief executive of the Football Association of Wales Jonathan Ford has given his public backing to national team manager Chris Coleman.

The former Fulham boss has been under pressure in recent weeks after Wales succumbed to a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Serbia in their Group A 2014 World Cup qualifying clash.

"Nobody would say we weren't disappointed with that," BBC Sport quotes Ford as saying. "The players will say that, the manager will say that, the fans will say that.

"Of course we want to take every opportunity to learn from our mistakes, to understand what went wrong, to understand what we need to do to put it right.

"I've got every faith in Chris Coleman to make sure he will recognise those things he needs to do to make sure we have every best chance going forward."

Wales also suffered a 2-0 loss to Belgium in the same week.
