Half-Time Report: Bristol City hold half-time lead over Walsall

Bristol City hold a comfortable 1-0 half-time lead over Walsall in their League One encounter.

Runaway League One leaders Bristol City hold a 1-0 lead over Walsall at half time thanks to Joe Bryan's 11th-minute strike.

After a quiet start, Luke Ayling's cross found Bryan at the back post, who cut inside and fired a low finish beyond Richard O'Donnell at the near post.

Derrick Williams's long ball then found Aaron Wilbraham, who struck his effort beyond O'Donnell only to see the goal ruled out for offside.

Ayling ran the length of the pitch as the Robbins broke on 24 minutes, but his near-post effort was turned away by O'Donnell.

Anthony Forde curled a free kick towards goal a minute later, but Frank Fielding was equal to it.
