Quique Flores plays down Watford Champions League hopes

Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores hails his side's "amazing" 3-0 victory over Liverpool, but insists that it is too early to start thinking about a top-four finish.

Watford manager Quique Flores has insisted that it is far too early for his side to start thinking about a potential top-four challenge in the Premier League.

The Hornets have emerged as surprise European contenders courtesy of four consecutive victories, the latest of which saw them cruise past Liverpool 3-0 at Vicarage Road this afternoon to move within one point of the Champions League places.

Flores acknowledged that it was an "amazing" result for his side, and is keen to bask in the glory of the performance rather than look too far ahead.

"I don't want to talk about [the top four]. It is the moment to enjoy after this match, I like the happiness and I want to enjoy, the fans to enjoy," he told BBC Sport.

"We should be humble. This is our one advantage, because the Premier League is very tough. We have a lot of matches to play. We never underestimate the teams we play.

"Of course we want to dream but we want to remain humble. We are completely happy with the performance. It was an amazing victory against an amazing team."

Watford's next three games see them take on Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
