Odion Ighalo: 'No time to dwell on memorable Blackpool win'

Four-goal striker Odion Ighalo insists that the most important thing about Watford's remarkable 7-2 win over Blackpool was the three points, rather than personal gains.

Odion Ighalo has insisted that Watford will not get too carried away by their thumping victory over Blackpool yesterday afternoon as they continue in their quest for promotion from the Championship.

The Hornets fell two goals behind to the division's bottom side at Vicarage Road, although a second-half comeback inspired by four-goal Ighalo saw the London outfit prevail 7-2 in the end.

There is now just a three-point gap between Watford and the top-two, but the Nigerian forward stressed that the club will not dwell on things for too long.

"We're very happy to get the three points, that's the most important thing for the team," he told reporters.

"We have to look forward to the next game, though, this has gone now. We have to concentrate, and come in on Monday and work hard before the next game against a good side."

Watford are back in action on Friday night when they face league leaders Bournemouth at the Goldsands Stadium.
