West Bromwich Albion head coach Pepe Mel: 'My mentality is to win'

West Bromwich Albion head coach Pepe Mel says that it is in his "mentality" to win.

West Bromwich Albion head coach Pepe Mel has insisted that his "only mentality" is to win.

The 50-year-old took his first press conference this afternoon since being appointed as Steve Clarke's successor last week.

"West Bromwich Albion are the club that showed the most interest in me from day one," West Brom's Twitter account quotes Mel as saying. "My plan is to win, it is my only mentality.

"In summary, we'll be looking to get the ball back as soon as possible and then keeping it. I think England is the best place to be, with the best coaches and players. It is also the birthplace of the game."

The Baggies are currently 14th in the Premier League table.
