West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew vows not to quit his post if his side loses against Watford this weekend.

West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew has vowed not to quit his post as the pressure on him continues to rise.

Reports suggest that the Baggies coach could be dismissed if his team loses against Watford this weekend, but the former Crystal Palace boss has vowed to fight on indefinitely.

"If you think I'm going to walk away, with my experience, with a team that isn't functioning well, then you're wrong," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

Pardew has also expressed his disappointment about details of a dressing room bust-up between himself and Albion midfielder Chris Brunt leaking to the press.

The pair were involved in a heated exchange after the player challenged his decision to stick with a 4-4-2 formation following last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Huddersfield Town.

"The stuff that came out of the dressing room on Saturday was disappointing because what goes on in there should stay in there in my opinion," he said.

"Having said that I'm not sure our fans would be disappointed with that. I actually think what would they expect us to do, not have words, not have conflict in the dressing room after a performance like that?"

West Brom head into this weekend's meeting with Watford rock bottom of the table, six points adrift and seven from a position of safety.
