West Bromwich Albion assistant manager Keith Downing has revealed that he expects Chris Wood to join Leicester City in January.
According to BBC Radio Leicester, the two clubs have agreed a fee of £1m for the New Zealand international and Downing has admitted that he expects Wood to leave The Hawthorns when the transfer window opens on Tuesday.
Downing said: "Leicester have shown a great interest in Chris.
"He's done exceptionally well at Millwall and we've brought him back here. I expect the move to be done when the transfer window opens."
Wood has recently returned from a loan spell with Millwall, where he scored 11 goals in 19 appearances for the Lions.
