West Bromwich Albion are reportedly considering a move for Wigan Athletic striker Arouna Kone.

The Baggies are believed to be interested in the 29-year-old, who is said to be weighing up his options following the Latics' fall into the Championship.

According to ESPN, head coach Steve Clarke has placed Kone as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is expected to remain at Chelsea next season following a loan stint at The Hawthorns.

Reports have claimed that Kone has a £6.5m release clause in his contract.
