Teddy Sheringham eyes management role

West Ham United coach Teddy Sheringham expresses his desire to one day become a manager.

Teddy Sheringham has revealed that he would one day like to try his hand at management.

The former England international ended his playing career in 2008 and, until his appointment as the coach of the strikers at West Ham United in the summer, he had not been involved in the game since.

However, having worked alongside Sam Allardyce at Upton Park over recent weeks, Sheringham has admitted that he is eager to take on a bigger role in the future.

"I've done my bit of coaching and I'm enjoying that. Obviously I've got a lot to learn, because I've only been in there three months, but it makes me think that I want to have a go [at management] and see where it takes me," he told Sky Sports News.

Sheringham played for a host of clubs during his career, including Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and West Ham.
