West Ham United manager David Moyes's search for a new midfielder has reportedly seen him turn to Burnley's Scott Arfield.
The Scotsman, appointed at the start of November, admitted last month that he is in desperate need of recruits in the middle of the park to balance his squad.
A number of possible options have already been mentioned, with Arsenal duo Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny most recently being linked.
According to The Independent, however, Arfield may become the first to join as the Burnley ace is available for a cut-price fee of just £2m, having entered the final five months of his current deal.
The report suggests that Burnley have offered the 29-year-old a contract extension, but United are willing to provide him with higher wages.
