West Ham United have reportedly emerged as the frontrunners to sign Huddersfield Town midfielder Aaron Mooy this summer.
The Australian international is the Terriers' top earner on £32,000 a week but the Hammers could be prepared to double those wages, according to The Times.
Huddersfield faced competition to land Mooy on a permanent deal last summer, following a successful loan stint there, with Brighton & Hove Albion and Southampton also expressing interest in the midfielder.
Mooy signed a three-year contract with the Yorkshire outfit at the beginning of the season, but the report suggests that the Hammers will bid for him undeterred.
Meanwhile, Huddersfield manager David Wagner is also expected to attract interest from elsewhere in the summer, with Leicester City having been linked with him of late.
