Razvan Rat excited by West Ham United challenge

Razvan Rat reveals that he is excited by his recent move to West Ham United.

Razvan Rat has revealed that he is excited by the challenges that face him at new club West Ham United.

The 32-year-old Romanian international joined the Hammers on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk last month.

"For me it is a challenge and new motivation," the defender told Shakhtar's official website. "For the new team, I will try to prove to them that I am coming from a team that played in the Champions League and that I have a high level of skill."

Rat, who spent 10 years with Shakhtar, has signed a one-year contract with West Ham.
