Half-Time Report: Huddersfield Town holding Wigan Athletic to 0-0

Huddersfield Town and Wigan Athletic remains 0-0 at half-time in their Championship clash at the John Smith's Stadium.

Huddersfield Town and Wigan Athletic have largely cancelled each other out in a quiet opening 45 minutes at the John Smith's Stadium this evening.

The recalled Daniel Ward nearly put the home side ahead early on when he cut in from the left and his wild cross nearly found the back of the net.

Wigan Athletic's first chance of note came on 24 minutes when striker Andy Delort's flick on put Don Cowie through on goal, but he could only balloon his effort over the bar.

Just 60 seconds later Tommy Smith was booked when he slid in late on Andrew Taylor on the touchline, with Callum McManaman being booked for the visitors for simulation ten minutes later.

Wigan Athletic have had the greater share of possession, but neither side has created much in front of goal.
