Wigan Athletic captain Antolin Alcaraz has accepted a charge of misconduct from the Football Association.
The charge relates to an incident during Wigan's 3-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon, where Paraguayan defender Alcaraz appeared to spit at Wolves defender Richard Stearman.
As a result, Alcaraz will now be suspended for Wigan's next three matches against Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland and Arsenal.
The 29-year-old joined the Latics in 2010 from Belgium's Club Brugge.
