How Wolverhampton Wanderers could line up against Besiktas

Ahead of Thursday's Europa League fixture between Besiktas and Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sports Mole looks at how the Premier League side could line up in Turkey.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head into their Europa League fixture with Besiktas looking to get their first points on the board in Group K.

While the Premier League outfit had the better of the chances in their opener with Braga, the Portuguese side left Molineux with a 1-0 victory.

However, Wolves travel to Turkey having put together a three-match unbeaten streak on the domestic front, which includes a 2-0 win over Watford last weekend.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Nuno Espirito Santo's side could line up at Vodafone Park.

Doubtful: Diogo Jota (foot)

Having sustained a foot injury a week-and-a-half ago, Diogo Jota is expected to sit out Thursday's fixture, with reports indicating that the forward may be absent until after the international break.

While a change in formation has helped Wolves over the past three games, Nuno could switch to a 3-5 2 formation, partnering Raul Jimenez with summer arrival Patrick Cutrone in attack.

Ruben Neves should come back into the starting lineup to partner Leander Dendoncker and Joao Moutinho, with Adama Traore potentially missing out.

Matt Doherty and Jonny should take their place at wing-back, although Nuno may opt to make an alteration to the centre of his backline.

Despite contributing to a clean sheet against the Hornets on Saturday afternoon, Romain Saiss could drop out with either Jesus Vallejo or Ryan Bennett taking his place.
