Half-Time Report: Michael Jacobs header gives Wolverhampton Wanderers slender lead

Michael Jacobs's 16th-minute header gives Wolverhampton Wanderers a slender half-time lead over Notts County at Molineux.

Michael Jacobs has headed Wolverhampton Wanderers into a 1-0 half-time lead over Notts County at Molineux in League One this afternoon.

Kenny Jackett's men were ahead within 16 minutes, as Scott Golbourne lifted a cross into the area for Jacobs to dive and head home the opener.

Shaun Derry's side should have leveled matters shortly after, but Callum McGregor curled narrowly past Carl Ikeme's post following crisp build-up play from the visitors.

It very nearly proved to be a costly miss by the Magpies, with Bakary Sako forcing Bartosz Bialkowski into a smart save before the rebound was scrambled clear of danger from the advancing Nouha Dicko.
