Crotone name former Wolves head coach Walter Zenga as new boss

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Walter Zenga is named as the new manager of Serie A club Crotone.

Italian side Crotone have decided to appoint Walter Zenga as the club's new manager.

After winning just three of their opening 15 matches in Serie A, Davide Nicola opted to resign from his role at Stadio Ezio Scida.

However, the top-flight minnows have wasted little time in finding a replacement, with the former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss being handed the reins in the dugout.

Ahead of the 2016-17 campaign, new owners Fosun International appointed Zenga after failing to land Julen Lopetegui, who took the Spain job, but the former Italy goalkeeper endured a disappointing spell at Molineux.

Zenga won six of his 17 games in charge, but Wolves were sitting in the bottom half of the table when he was sacked after less than three months in charge.
