Kenny Jackett encouraged by victory

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett admits that he was impressed with his side's 2-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has said that his side showed "promising signs" during their 2-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers.

The win was the Midlands outfit's fifth in their last seven league outings.

"Our passing is very good. The only thing I can be critical of from our players is our finishing," Jackett told Sky Sports News.

"We had a lot of good situations and a lot of shots and we didn't work their keeper or score enough goals. But that can come on another day. In between the boxes we showed good control and good play.

"There are promising signs in terms of our build-up play and our control of the game. We didn't particularly need our goalkeeper, which was a good thing. As a side we were very, very solid I felt."

Wolves sit top of League One after the victory.
