Sky Bet slash their odds from 40-1 to 10-1 on former Bolton boss Owen Coyle becoming the next permanent manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Sky Bet have slashed their odds on Owen Coyle becoming the next permanent manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves are on the lookout for an experienced leader to steady their ship, after dismissing Stale Solbakken following yesterday's humiliating FA Cup defeat to Luton Town.

Coyle, who has been out of work since being sacked by Bolton Wanderers in October, was initially priced at a hefty 40-1 on Saturday evening.

However, the 46-year-old is now the 10-1 third-favourite, with Dean Saunders and Sean O'Driscoll the only bosses that are shorter in the betting.

Coyle's managerial CV also includes spells in charge of Falkirk, St Johnstone and Burnley.
