Wolverhampton Wanderers and newly-promoted Watford are reportedly interested in signing West Bromwich Albion loanee Mbaye Diagne.
The 29-year-old striker is currently on loan from Turkish giants Galatasaray, but he is unlikely to remain with the Baggies permanently beyond this season, following their relegation from the Premier League.
According to Football Insider, Wolves and Watford are the frontrunners to land Diagne this summer, while Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace are also closely monitoring his situation.
The Senegal international will see his contract with Galatasaray expire in June 2023, and although he proved to be a huge success in Turkey – scoring 51 Super Lig goals in 64 appearances – Gala would be willing to sell the striker if the right offer were to be received.
Only the Premier League's bottom four teams have scored fewer goals than Wolves so far this season, with the absence of talisman Raul Jimenez – who continues to recover from a fractured skull – truly felt at Molineux.
Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to bolster his attacking options this summer, with Diagne one player they are considering, as are Watford, who have also lacked a clinical striker this campaign despite securing automatic promotion from the Championship.
Winger Ismaila Sarr was the Hornets' top scorer with 13 goals, while strikers Troy Deeney, Andre Gray and Joao Pedro failed to reach double figures.
