Wrexham recorded their first victory of the new campaign by getting the better of Eastleigh in a 2-0 triumph at Ten Acres on Saturday.

Jake Hyde was unstoppable in the opening 45 minutes as he found the back of the net twice to secure all three points for Phil Parkinson's men.

With four points from a possible six, the Red Dragons are in seventh position at the moment and are one of nine teams yet to be beaten so far.

Going up against an opposing side who are unbeaten in the last three encounters involving the sides, Monday's hosts have it all to do as they seek to keep their good run going.

Notts County dropped points for the first time this term following a 1-1 stalemate versus Torquay United at Meadow Lane on Saturday.

Ian Burchnall's men had a numerical advantage for over an hour but were unable to come away with all three points in Nottingham as goals for either side from Daniel Wright and Kyle Wootton ensured a share of the spoils.

Featuring in their third consecutive season at this level, the Magpies are in sixth place on the log, two points off the current leaders Dagenham & Redbridge.

Only the aforementioned side have scored more goals than Monday's visitors, who currently possess the best goal difference in the division.

Team News

With his equaliser last time out, 24-year-old Kyle Wootton has now scored in each of the visitors' opening two fixtures and he will aim to come up trumps for his side once again.

Since arriving in the summer from Grasshopper Club Zurich and Swindon Town respectively, Edward Francis and Matt Palmer have formed a formidable partnership in the middle of the park.

In what was only his second match in a Wrexham shirt, Jake Hyde showed exactly why he was brought to the club with an impressive brace.

Harry Lennon was introduced to the starting XI at the expense of Max Cleworth in Wrexham's last outing, and the former is expected to retain his place.

Wrexham possible starting lineup:
Lainton; Lennon, Hayden, French; Reckord, Davies, Young, Jones, Tozer; Mullin, Hyde

Notts County possible starting lineup:
Slocombe; Rawlinson, Cameron, Brindley; Kelly-Evans, Francis, Palmer, Chicksen; Roberts, Rodrigues, Wootton

We say: Wrexham 1-1 Notts County

The sides are closely matched ahead of the contest and either of them could end up victorious in this one. We expect an entertaining game with goals at both ends and honours even at the full-time whistle.
