Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson rues missed chances

Huddersfield Giants head coach Paul Anderson believes that his side should have been more clinical during their 32-18 defeat to Wigan Warriors in Super League.

Huddersfield Giants head coach Paul Anderson has admitted that a lack of finishing cost his side during Sunday's 32-18 defeat to Wigan Warriors in Super League.

The Giants were undone by a dominant second-half performance by Wigan at the Galpharm Stadium, extending their winless run to two matches.

Anderson believes that Huddersfield could have come away with the spoils had they been more ruthless in the first period.

"I thought we were very good in the first half and we should have been a couple of scores in front at half time but they are fine margins in sport," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "I thought our attitude in the main was very good but you can't defend nearly all the half on your own try line without conceding points."

Anderson recently committed his future to Huddersfield by signing a two-year contract extension.
