Mike Ford: 'Only a win will do against Toulouse'

Rob Ford acknowledges the importance of his Bath Rugby's home match against Toulouse this weekend, saying that only a win will do to maintain his side's European hopes.

Bath Rugby head coach Mike Ford has admitted that his side must beat Toulouse this weekend if they are to keep alive their European Rugby Champions Cup aspirations.

A 37-10 thrashing at the hands of Glasgow Warriors saw the Aviva Premiership side kick off their Pool 4 campaign in the worst possible manner.

Attention now turns to the visit of Toulouse, with anything less than a victory likely to further dent Bath's chances of reaching the knockout stages.

"We're still really positive about Toulouse coming to The Rec, but we need to win that one if we're going to stand any chance in Europe," the Bath Chronicle quotes Ford as saying.

"Last weekend was horrible but you learn more from defeat. We prided ourselves on our away form in the Amlin Cup last year but this is a bigger competition, we're playing better teams.

"There is a lesson learned whenever you go away from home in Europe and Glasgow were possibly up for it more than we were."

Centre Kyle Eastmond is a doubt for the clash having left the field with a rib injury against Glasgow.
