Leicester Tigers and England centre Manu Tuilagi will be sidelined for six weeks after breaking his cheekbone.
The 20-year-old, who was fined for wearing a branded mouthguard in the World Cup, returned to club action against Gloucester last week.
"Manu suffered a broken cheekbone after a clash of heads in the Gloucester game and we'll be without him for about six weeks," confirmed Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill.
The Samoa-born player was detained by police after jumping from a ferry after England crashed out of the World Cup earlier this month.
