Danny Care will face no official punishment from the RFU after being arrested in the early hours of Saturday.
The England and Harlequins scrum-half was arrested and fined on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly at 3am on Saturday after his club's loss to Toulouse in the Heineken Cup.
"It was a silly thing to do - I accept that and apologise completely," Care told The Daily Telegraph.
"It was a tough game and I was out with the team and friends but should have remembered that as a professional player I am on duty throughout the season and need to set a better example to the fans."
Care has reportedly already been cautioned by England interim coach Stuart Lancaster.
