Richard Cockerill satisfied by Leicester Tigers draw

Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill admits that he is happy after seeing a late penalty earn his side a draw with Saracens.

Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill has admitted that he is satisfied with his side's last-gasp draw with Saracens.

A late penalty from Owen Williams saw the Tigers earn a 21-21 draw at Welford Road on Sunday when it looked as if they were heading for a fourth defeat of the season.

"If you had given me a draw before the game I'd have taken it. They are a good team, we have got a bit of firepower missing and the conditions didn't help," Cockerill told Sky Sports News.

"We are pleased with the two points. There wasn't much rugby played. It was a tight game which could have gone either way. A draw was probably fair in the end."

Leicester continue their league campaign next Sunday when they make the trip to London Welsh.
