New Zealand unchanged for Rugby World Cup final

Steve Hansen goes with the same New Zealand team that beat South Africa in the semis for Saturday's Rugby World Cup final against Australia.

New Zealand coach Steve Hansen has named an unchanged starting XV for Saturday's Rugby World Cup final against Australia at Twickenham.

The All Blacks are aiming to become the first team to ever win back-to-back World Cups, and five of their matchday 23 are making their last-ever Test appearances.

Captain Richie McCaw, Dan Carter, Conrad Smith and Ma'a Nonu all start, while Keven Mealamu, who is on the longest winning run in World Cup history at 15 games, is on the bench.

McCaw will make his 22nd appearance in a World Cup match, equalling the record held by England's Jason Leonard.

On the wing, Julian Savea will set a new record for tries scored at a tournament if he touches down at Twickenham. He currently has eight this year, the same that Jonah Lomu and Bryan Habana achieved in 1999 and 2007 respectively.

New Zealand: B Smith; N Milner-Skudder, C Smith, M Nonu, J Savea; D Carter, A Smith; J Moody, D Coles, O Franks, B Retallick, S Whitelock, J Kaino, R McCaw, K Read
Replacements: K Mealamu, B Franks, C Faumuina, V Vito, S Cane, T Kerr-Barlow, B Barrett, S-B Williams
