Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal has been banned from rugby for 130 days for damaging the reputation of the game.

Boudjellal claimed that his club were victims of "refereeing sodomy" after a recent loss to Clermont in the Top 14.

He then went on to claim that French rugby is racist in a newspaper article on the day of his hearing.

A Ligue Nationale de Rugby panel found Boudjellal guilty of damaging the image of rugby and the spirit and conduct of the sport.

Boudjellal, who refused to apologise, will be banned from the pitch, the dressing rooms and corridors until June 3, 2012.
