Novak Djokovic has criticised the condition of the surface on the centre court at the Italian Open.
The world number one booked his place in the final with a straight-sets win over David Ferrer, but throughout the match, the Serbian was frustrated by a clay-court surface that he has described as "dangerous".
The 27-year-old is quoted by ESPN as saying: "In a couple of places, the holes are really deep.
"If you slide and get into that hole, you can twist an ankle easily. It's dangerous to play in these conditions."
Djokovic will face either Roger Federer or Stanislas Wawrinka in the final as he looks to win the tournament for a fourth time.
