Tomas Berdych has eased past Viktor Troicki in straight sets to book his place in the quarter-finals of the China Open.
The Czech pro won the match's first break of serve in the fourth game, capitalising on the opening to take the set 6-3.
Troicki lost serve once more early on in the second, although Berdych was equally profligate to see the set balanced at 2-2 having himself lost serve.
Showing his experience, the world number six battled on to earn another break of serve in the fifth which paved the way for a 6-4 triumph.
Berdych will now face John Isner in the next round after the American overcame Tommy Robredo yesterday.
